Echuca vinduro on Dec 1, 2013
« on: November 16, 2013, 12:15:40 am »
The event is hosted by the Bendigo MCC and will take place at a property about 10 kms out of Echuca, and it will be signposted on the day. The Bendigo club uses this property regularly.

No rego is required, and there won’t be any additional riding outside of the property. The course itself has been described as not overly tight, but without many open sections either. It takes about 18 minutes to complete a lap. It should be kind on old bikes.

The Bendigo MCC is planning on a laid back and enjoyable event, in a similar vein to the Bagshot vinduro last year for those that were there. Finisher’s medals will be awarded.

Camping at the site is available on the Saturday night. There’ll be portable toilets on site, but not much else. Entry will most likely be on the day.
More details will be made available shortly.

I'll be there. Not sure if I'll camp on Saturday, or drive up early Sunday morning yet.

I wondered what you were thinking for a minute. Then remembered that it's not 3 hours away from you these days.  :D

I agree. I don't get to ride in conditions like that very often, and enjoyed the challenge. You really had to keep your mind on the job otherwise the old dried out ruts or deep sand could catch you out. The track was changing throughout the day too, so it really was different each time around.

There was about 40 or so riders, with the usual variety of machines we are used to seeing at vinduros from a small bore Hodaka to several Honda XR500s. The big wheeled Yamaha 200 was an interesting sight too.

Thanks to the BMCC for hosting this event.
