A little while ago I put up a post about the correct length that the dipstick should be in one of these, when I fill mine up with the correct amount of oil it goes up about 20mm above the criss cross level mark. My dipstick also hits the bottom of the cases wHen it's screwed fully in which is why I thought I had the wrong one,at Christmas when I rebuild the motor I'm going to fill it up with the correct amount and mark the stick.,hope this helps.
Cheers scotty
