1980 suzuki dr 400
« on: October 20, 2013, 12:55:13 pm »
I just bought a new bike to get around on, and alltho the leader of the opposition wants me to keep this, i wouldn't mind an idea of what you guys reckon it might be worth if i do decide to sell it.

Bike is currently NSW registered until june 2014,

I am the 3rd owner of the bike, first 2 owners being brothers that i know

Bike starts 1st or 2nd kick and runs like it was meant to and is in very good condition

Forks are rust free and still have that clear coat stuff on them as do wheels which are true with no dents or flat spots

Ally tank is in perfect condition

The motors in these old girls are bullet proof ...
Price will be predicted by the current  market and how deep their pockets are.

feetupfun, it has 20524 klm on it, spoke to original owner this afternoon and motor has not been touched except  for normal servicing and the things i have replaced in the last few years are air filter, battery and a couple of light globes.

Beauty mate, always liked these but haven't seen a nice one in ages; you will hate yourself later if you sell her for peanuts

Thanks for the input guy's, for the time being it looks like it will be keeping the maico company in the shed.
The value some have suggested is probably correct for the current market but i just can't let it go for that, alltho its not all that far off what i think its worth to me, its costing me nothing to keep it until or IF the value of old bikes pick up, something i think we would all like to see happen.

Keep it Mark. It's choice. And no one else has got one like it.
