mx 250/slides i was told it was going to be called the sidecars boys but they went with sidecar racers. so it may not been the oldtimers. ron had that print and another one like it framed and hanging in his back room.
Ah, that makes sense - I was soooo sure that it was called Sidecar Boys. It was probably referred to as Sidecar Boys on the set etc.

That's where I got it from as well, cousins Kenny & Laurie used to refer to it as Sidecar Boys.
Obviously changed for U.S. consumption.
Don't panic Graeme, we've still got our marbles, I think.

Not a very well known but this is a brilliant docco on Motocross in the 70's with some of the worlds biggest stars at the time - in 5 or 6 parts, look for the related links below the main screen.

Started pulling more of my dwindling hair out again... Searching for a name or copy of a dreadful late 60s movie about a group of "American bikers" sent to Vietnam. They lob there and are presented with a fresh pack of Yamaha CT and DTs Trailies to ride ;) Was thinking it was named The Born Losers  but that is the "Billy Jack' Prequel. Cheers Tim754

Answering my own questions again again... movie title I was looking for is just "Losers" Have found it and ohh boy is it crappy ;) but those sparkling new DT1 250s and CT1s  :D Cheers.
Oh another couple of doozies.. Rick Shroeder rides the standard weird movie sounding XR in "Over the Edge' and  ditto strange sounds in Chop socky movie "China O'Brien"

As is common with movie making the 'working title' of the movie eventually called
'Sidecar Racers' was 'Sidecar Boys'. I suspect 'Sidecar Boys' sounded allright to those in the Aussie audience but would be a bit confusing to 'non colonials'.
I remember watching the crash scene stunt work being filmed at Bathurst during my annual pillgrammige and not being to impressed with the finished movie.
cheers
dont follow me i'm probably off line!

Although it's not motorcycle related and nor am I all that interested in Formula 1 but I saw Rush last night and thought it to be an excellent movie, even the wife enjoyed it.

Love the cool outfit with the midget, sorry vertically challenged bloke in the chair.
I'd be lookin that happy too if I had the magic wand driving me around.  ;)

Shit I almost forgot about Elvis peddalling around on the honda twin in one of his hero roles.
Just love those trailer scenes.  ;D
Could never understand why he couldn't ride and play guitar at the same time.
He seemed to br able to pull off every other trick known to man.
