Sandblast frame and swingarm cost.
« on: September 28, 2013, 02:02:17 pm »
How much should a frame and swingarm cost to be sandblasted?

I have most the gear to do it myself but I have been getting it done by a few places don't know if I am paying to much though.

Cost me around $12. Frosty you've got a portable sandblasting unit the same as mine. I just use dry builders sand and generally 2 bags and it's done. I filter and reuse as much sand as possible.
Let's face it some dirt bikes were never meant to be ridden.

Yeah I just bought a decent three phase air compressor and I have the portable sand blasting unit I also have these big cages I was going to enclose and an air fed mask.

What sort of mask do you use I know the sand you have to be careful with the glass beads and soda is pretty right but sand you don't want to breathe that in.

quartz based sand can send fine 10 micron + shards of qtz into your lungs which scars them reducing oxygen / blood transfer area....be careful with sand
