Air Box Rubber

Hi guys, does anyone no how to soften the old hard rubber air box boot.

Put it in a zip tie bag and spray it with armour all. Leave it for as long as you can and give it a top up spray occaisionally, i put mine in at the start of the rebuild, then maybe 3 months later they are becoming more supple.

soak it in brake fluid, i have not tried this but its been mentioned on this forum many times.

 I thought that was a similar situation to the old Army 'dog biscuits'.
 You put the rubber and an old piece of exhaust pipe in a pot of water, boil it till the pipe is soft and use IT.
