Parcel tracking.
« on: September 18, 2013, 12:23:08 pm »
Does anyone have the phone number for Australia Post tracking? Every tome I've typed my USPS tracking number into the online tracking site window I get an 'invalid number' message. I've previously rang OZ Post with my USPS tracking number and they've given me the details over the phone but now that I need it again I can't find the number anywhere?

Firko - recently lost 2 parcels - and they haven't turned up since.  However I used their contact email and they supplied the delivery info etc - just off the Aus Post website.

cheers

Rossco, I myself recently lost a parcel and theOzPost phone gal was great, tracing my package all the way to my local delivery centre. The online service you mention would have been fine but for some reason it won't accept the USPS tracking number, hence my need of the phone number.

Is there a number to contact USPS in Australia.  I recently had a parcel hit the Melbourne airport and received a notification of itd arrival in Australia, from the US.  The parcel sat there for three months and I couldn't contact anyone who would do anything about it.  Could not contact USPS in the US and the people I brought the item from were also unhelpful.  Eventually the parcel went back to the US and I received a refund.
Australia Post could not help.
I prefer Fedex

I've been trying to track my item and it appears to have arrived at the New York sorting facility on August 25 but has gone off the radar since. I tried to get some sort of response from USPS but they don't appear to have a "package gone missing" section on their website. With over 1300 mostly USA eBay transactions since 1999 I've lost very few items until this last two. Coincidentally they're both very similar, the first a Rex's Speedshop Yamaha DT400 ignition box that went missing between the Penrith Delivery Centre and my mail box and the second: a Suzuki TS185 CDI ignition box that fell off the tracking radar at the ISC New York sorting facility on Aug 25. I've opened a case in the eBay resolution centre but that doesn't get me my ignition box.
This is all very frustrating as I really need both of these items for the upcoming Canowindra HEAVEN round and the Nats.........Has anyone got a TS185 ignition box they're prepared to sell me? :'(
