John Haberbosch - Rocky Mountain Montesa

For all of you Montesa fanatics out there it is very sad to hear that John Haberbosch from Rocky Mountain Montesa is very ill in Hospital.

He has been uncontactable for some months and I thought he was on one of his regular tours around Spain. Unfortunately that was not the case.

I spoke to one of his cousins who is now trying to deal with some of John's affairs.

John was involved in a serious road motorcycle accident back in April when a driver in a 'mini' Van pulled out in front his bike and he hit the side of the Van. John was the innocent motorcyclist as usual. The other driver didn't see him >:(

John was seriously hurt but began to recover then unfortunately suffered a serious of strokes which has left him gravely ill in hospital. As yet his prognosis is unclear. I am sure everyone’s best wishes for a full recover are with John and his family.

Anyone that has dealt with John can tell you he is almost an encyclopaedia of information, knowledge and parts for all things Montesa but especially his much favoured earlier models of 1977 and earlier. Not only that he will search out parts for you while on his regular trips to Spain or redirect parts from US sellers who would not ship to Australia (even those inferior non Montesa parts). An all-round really genuinely nice guy 8).
