77 AW 400 Project

New to Maico's, so this could be painful or easy. Not sure yet!!
Started with this

Missing a lot, but no use paying for stuff you won't use. I want it to be a rider, not a show pony, and will be built as such.
Got the frame, forks, swingarm etc painted and the forks rechromed.

Rebuilding the engine. New rod, piston etc. Found I put one of the seals in the wrong way round and the crank was binding. fixed that and then discovered I needed another turn on the kick start spring!! All good now. Took me ages to get the decomp in, till I realized that a plug spanner was the right size!!

Now its back in its home

Still need to get a few things like shocks?? Any advise? I'm hearing 13.5" eye to eye, but how much stroke do the shocks need??
Also cannot work out how the back of the tank mounts. It has a flat tab on one side, but not the other. It may have been taken off? Is it a rubber band type set up.
Going to fit a Mikuni carb, any jetting specs?? 38mm
I'm sure there will be more dumb questions!!!
