Re: connecting rod dt-1

no this is not the right one ,I looked up the part no. for dt1 and it uses the same con rod as yz400d part no. is 431-11651-00
on the rod it is no.214.
I have just compared yz250 1984 rod which has 24y no. on it with a yz400d rod which has 214 no. on.it, the length and the widths are the same ,. the difference is the little end bearing size the 214 rod has a 22 mm hole were the 24y is 23mm, this is not a problem as they both have same pin diameter .The big end pin on these is 25mm were the dt1 pin shows it being 24mm so you would need to get these or modify to suit.  You would be able to use a complete conrod kit for yz250 83 to 86 which would come with suitable little end bearing THE BIG END PIN AND BEARING ARE YOUR ONLY PROBLEM.
This could be the option  in the yz400d and e and it 400,s

cheers arno

i might be off track [old age] but if i recall right my DT1 & RT1 [plus RT2 & 3--but not DT2 & 3] all use the 214 rod but the 360 has a bigger crank pin by 1mm therefore uses a roller assembly with smaller diameter rollers. Same may apply with gudgeon end [can't remember], whereby, if your pin's too big [or small] by say 1mm then a different diameter bearing might be available to sort the difference. Thanks.
