MX125 gearbox.
« on: July 26, 2007, 04:42:22 pm »
Still chasing this... I need the gears/gearset/engine/whole bike from a Yamaha MX125A/B/C or YZ125A or AT1MX.

5-speed, not the 6-speed.

04000 23847 if you can help.

Hmmm... good question... Shooting from the hip, I'll say No, but let me look into it.

Nup, no good. :(

The 1st gear pinion gear should have 12 teeth, not 11.

nathan, did you check what year that mx100 was?
as the old 74 models run the same ratio's as the 5 speed mx125a/b
my mx125a, i only use first gear around the pits and in some cases it's will pull a 2nd gear start making first useless anyway.
just a thought.

Ah, good point... I'm 99% sure that Quicky's bikes are early 80s models, rather than the MX125 style ones?

Very interested if I'm wrong though!

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Well... slight ammendment... I pulled down the CT1 engine last night.

It has an AT2MX gearset (!) but second gear and the input shaft are both stuffed. So I 'only' need the input shaft and the 2nd gear pinion and wheel. Will still be more than happy with a complete gearset though.

If I'd known it was an AT2MX gearbox, I'd have been a lot more careful with it.  :'(
