My build is a 1976 MC5 250. Frame/swingarm/t-clamps are done.Motor nearly done. Now for suspension. Will rebuild original fork/shocks at this stage. Whats the best mods/setup for forks (leading axle cerianis). Need seals and wiper boots with cable holder are these available locally. What  seals fit ? Also swing-arm pivot do ya use grease or fill with oil? cheers

I use anti-seize in the swingarm and some grease in the bearings.

I am running my Ceriani (leading axles) as standard, bought new valve kits from Al B. And they feel nice.
Swingarm, I think i am running oil in mine from memory. Haven't seen any leaks. But will check nearer the end of the year. Changing those bearings is one job i absolutely hate with passion.

Ok finally back to '76 MC250  build. Stripped the fork lowers ready to paint ,went to remove seals ...no circlip?Check manual 2 seals+circlip. Mine has seal in metal casing. ?? Is this some alternative or a dodgy fix.I'm assuming the casing has been glued in also. Also found cracks around 2 axle bolt holes on both legs. Might be to much stuffin round to fix so anyone got Ceriani leading axle lower legs for sale. What ya thoughts boys . Cheers

Good luck with finding those leg lowers.....those forks are hard to come by now.
Its a common problem with these and the leading axle marzocchi forks.

You will find a set of marzocchi 35mm leading axle forks easier on the net.

Is the cracking because the forks are magnesium?

Continual over tightening making it fatigue. You could get them welded, but need someone good.

I can weld them up NP but finding some mag filler rods is not easy as you can only buy by the kilo and it's not cheap.
