Mikuni - Kehin jets
« on: July 29, 2013, 06:03:53 pm »
I know this one is a long shot but is there any comparison charts in regards to mikuni and kehin jet sizes.

I have a kehin that runs good but not "legal" and would like to put a new mikuni on my yam 250 dirt tracker.
Ran the sizes listed in a haynes manual and fried thpiston /rings after 3 laps.

It would be interesting to see what the compatable jets where.

Cheers Darren

Some info here for Mikuni, mostly VM roundslides. You haven't said what sort your 250 Yamaha is (2T or 4T) or how old, but have a peek.

For what it's worth, there is bugger-all difference in the hole size of the two makes of jet but of course the threads are different so they are not compatible.
