Thoughts on this
« on: July 17, 2013, 08:29:26 pm »

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yamaha-tt500-1977-usa-long-track-bike-worked-runs-perfect-original-parts-include-/121135151602?pt=AU_Motorcycles&hash=item1c3437b9f2#ht_1583wt_943

Thinking of making an offer on this bike, getting out of the sidecars and going to go solo looking for something that I can have a bit of fun on for a bit.
Just wonering if this is good value, and if anyone has dealt with this guy before.

Cheers Rob
ps: if you have something that you think would be more suitable let me know

I use the same transporter as RobzRidez which is the seller of this bike, I've seen quite a few bikes he's sold to Victorians as they're often still in the van when he swings by my place. From what I've seen the bike are usually pretty average, but in saying that they're often at reasonable enough prices for what they are, just keep in mind the guy is running a business so you're obviously never gonna get a "bargain" but often he'll have stuff in stock that you'll have to wait a while for one to come up elsewhere. Just my 2c thought, other forum members have purchased from him and been satisfied with their purchases from what they've said here.
THE SEXMAX.....coming soon to an Evo race near you!!! Lining up right along side the soon to be released TEDMAX!!!

I just bought an '88 KX250 from Robzrides, it was not as good as he said but then I only paid $2K for it, when I pulled him up on a few things he gave me a couple of hundred back, I guess he was worried I'd give him bad ebay feedback?

If the motor is tight enough and other mechs seem as good as it looks, then i reckon offer $2750 and they will take it. Or buy my yz250E... Whats the deal with no front brake though - could you run it at nepean as Classic DT?
Cheers

Anyway Mick, I am into 2 strokes, I would not know how to put a collet in a valve stem.... All them springs and things - Fark.
Are you going to nepean for stG on the 28th?

hmm, the head of the rear axle bold seems to be drilled away (left side). The chain has two clips and is way too tight. No good mechanic...
