Can someone buy me some bolts please?
« on: July 14, 2013, 07:13:58 pm »
I’m hoping someone in a city with a decent bolt supply place can buy two bolts for me.

I need two high tensile, countersunk capscrews, 10x1.5mm and 50mm long

In Darwin I can buy 35 or 100mm long. To get the length I want I have to buy a box of 100 as they will only bring them in by the box full.

I’ve looked at shortening and re-threading some 100’s but high tensile bolts don’t do a die any favours and I don’t want a cut thread with ends where the die finished. I’d rather have a clean, rolled thread.

I don’t expect this for nothing, I just want the specified bolts

Thanks

Brent

Hi Paul good on ya mate.

Not meaning to but in, but :D I live near a nut and bolt joint that sells any amount, not just boxes.

Any how just a bit of friendly help Paul and/or Brent.

So Brent are you after
BLACK HI-TENSILE M10x1.5x50  HEX SOCKET COUNTERSUNK BOLTS? (sholder)

OR do you want BLACK HI-TENSILE M10x1.5x50  HEX SOCKET COUNTERSUNK SCREWS? (thread all the way)

Be aware that in the case of countersunk head screws or bolts the length is measured overall as opposed to from the bottom of the head for every other type of head.

That's a great price for five units Cyclegod/Brent, considering it includes free postage from China. But up to a month delivery, might upset the schedue ???

Over to you Brent J.

Thank you guys, I've sent an email to Paul as he was the first to reply.

I'm grateful for your help and sometimes living here can be frustrating for getting things like this.

I'm fitting some bar risers to my KTM Freeride and need these to lock them in place

Thanks again all

Oh yeah, and the last thing you want is to be owing one of us a favor,
when Paul already owes you one anyhow, LOL :D
