Walter thanks but no thanks, maybe if it were an SL1000 I'd be inclined to go that way
Quicky, that could be the go! Most 3.25 I've seen all looked like fronts and not really suitable. It would appear that tyre is a Yokahama maybe? She'd do nicely..I don't think those knobs would be too aggressive for the little 100 to keep buzzing along
a chunky new tyre in near any size on the rear would bog it down needlessly. I fitted a near new 19inch Pirelli Scorpion on the front today courtesy of Dodgee and it feels like it should stick like poo. Sold!..(soon as some funding arrives in the next week or so I'll be intouch
)
Tim, no problems. Onto the 18 inch CT125 rear wheel already (as fitted in picture). While it does fit nicely I'm going to be a little anal here in saying I wanted to keep the 17rear 19 front combination in favour of of the 18/21 as most people would suggest. The reason for this
The SL/XL/CT/CR125 wheels are dimensionally a fraction bigger in most areas if one looks closely. Try swapping the 100 brake hubs into the 125 wheels and it becomes even more evident. Add this to the slightly longer spokes and it increases the unsprung weight a little. The heavier the unsprung weight the more resistance it will have to want to turn once the wheels are in motion blah blah blah dribble dribble. It is only a 100 after all I know and this all sounds like shit but add another saving by using an alloy rear sprocket and throw in my physical size I reckon it'll handle better setup as a midi rather than the full size 125. The 18" rear I have fitted now I'll keep for a spare fitted with a trial universal for DT. As usual I'm arse about, I'll get the thing riding half decently first and only after this will work on the engine begin
shhh..but those orange springs are the real secret to going faster on a Honda!
It'll be a slug no matter but no reason why it can't be a fun slug
