« on: June 12, 2013, 07:00:39 pm »
Just Googled a PDF doc from the day on Port mods, Pipe changes and Head machining to make the bike have a midrange and Topend....  It is a Yamaha technical doc..

Has the test of time stood up and did these mods work out before I fire up the Dremmel Any advice welcome...

I would post the link but I am using a stupid tablet... lol

Does Glen Bells ex mechanic Frank Pons still work at Technik.
He would know how to get these things running like a scalded cat.

There was a thread doing the rounds a while back about a member milling the head
on Dean Burts Suzuki RM, cant remember his name but apparently thats a good
starting point.

FRANK PONS- ex Beatle Baily,Steve Gall AND GLEN BELLS tuner, he is still available at BIKETEK near Campbelltown (google the ph number) although he should be leaving for QLD tomorrow and back next week, tuning superbikes apparently. Belly's yz250L  was a weapon as is any modified by the near-legenday Mr Pons!

The best way to get these things going right, is to put the powervalve in the right way up.
:D

The not-so-funny bit is that I was only keeping up with 3858 on the weekend, despite how f&@king hopeless his YZ was...
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
