VB360 Owners.....
« on: June 25, 2008, 03:55:33 pm »
.....or anyone knowledgeable, could you tell me if the exhaust port is meant to be offset in relationship with the down tubes.

This is the butchered frame of Lazarus. The engine is bolted in at the rear and with the head brace. As you look at the above photo the left stud is approximately 20mm from centre of bolt to frame; the right stud, 35mm. Is this correct?

I'm trying to comfirm things before  weld in new lower mounts.

The offset looks pretty right.  My motor is out & all in bits so I can't say what the actual measurements are, but the top front engine mounts on the frame are 59mm apart & centrally spaced between the down tubes, while the bottom ones are offset approx 5mm from central to the left viewed like your photo(20mm to side rail on left, 30mm to side rail on the right.  Now I'm confused!!
Hope this makes sense.

Went out in the boneyard and snapped this pic of a direlict
VB.  Does appear to be an offset to the right side.

Thanks guys, I can now proceed with confidence  ;).

I just thought it was a little unusual and worth the ask. I had no other easy way of checking the chassis alignment - forks and head bearing are out. But starting with a butchered frame and playing mix and match anythings possible.
