1980 Maico 440 on vft.org

Sure, the '80 model isn't the most popular model to come out of Pfaffingen but once you master the art of using a milk crate to mount and steady yourself while you kick the bugger over (they're tall), the 1980 Mega is a decent Evo ride. While not as outright fast as the legendary 490, the 440 isn't quite so intimidating yet is still plenty quick enough for us regular guys. The missing tank and side panels are easily found and for $1200 US it's a pretty good deal. another bonus is that it's located in Northern California making it convenient (read cheaper) to ship to Oz. The seller Ken Faro's a decent bloke who's sold stuff to many an Aussie including me over the years http://vft.org/vftforsale3-StreetMXers.html

1980 Maico MEGA MC440 - Frame # 3472296 - Engine# RT3482074 - good overall condition, clean FOX airs needing service Im sure, nice gold Akronts, clean forks and triple, motor is complete with nothing appearing broken, shifts through the gears, top end stuck from sitting but its soaking..NO tank or sidepanels but I do have the seat..looks to be complete with no poor engineering except a bad weld on the pipe, nice alloy silencer and controls are complete, HD alloy skid plate...great candidate for a resto/racer!
