Its a scam guys. There was a heap of 1000cc road bikes listed in the same way. Chinese seller, no feedback and by the end of the auction the listings were pulled and sellers accounts closed. Keep an eye on these ones same will happen ebay will shut them.

got a reply from the seller!! I Had asked if they'd ship to New Zealand [Spelt it in full rather than just NZ]. Asked if these are an exact copy of a KTM 250 SX-M plus asked the cost of shipping. This is the full answer, [3-7 days can be shipped to your location]--i smell a Bigger rat--[don't i?], god i wish it were true, i'll keep watching!!.

You all have been into this VMX stuff for too long. KTM's are now made in China and can be ordered direct from the factory, saving you thousands. Fact.

Been in VMX long enough to confirm with an MR MX champ,Aust Title holder and a KTM business operator -that KTM are not made in China.
Fact  :)
No even worse....India.

Does anyone know the mechanics of this, just how this scam works? Is a switcheroo pulled with the item like you get some life size photocopy or something?

If it's a fullsize bike it could be the chinese copy. There is one on the market and parked side by side they are almost identical.A bloke at capalaba sells them they even come from the factory with KTM sticker kits :o.

Can't find them just went to have a look can only find the aircooled ones that don,t look anything like a KTM but there is a water cooled version that looks almost identical.

Saw a doco on this.
KTM and some Indian company are making the littlies in India.
The KTM guy said that the Indians did not have a clue but after retraining were well up to the job and that KTM was very happy with the end result.

yes, couldn't find it today, only other stuff that shows when you hit the link on here. Went back through history to when it was live yesterday & now says this listing has been removed. [You did tell me this would happen] slow learner 'me', ahh well. I'll have to learn how to use these emoticon faces, some pretty appropriate ones there!!.

My guess on these scams is they always have several listings that end at the same time in hope that all the buyers pay up using pay pal, the seller  will transfer that pay pay funds elsewhere and close the bank accounts down so ebay can't get the money back from them.
