KTM 600
« on: April 06, 2013, 11:29:09 am »
I spotted this the other day and thought it would be snapped up at that price, is there something wrong with this model that people don`t like. Again if i had the funds i would tackle that thing as i think it`s a lot of bike for that money.         Peter.

A mate has one tucked away in his shed Slakey.....I've ridden it a number of times and it reminds me of my old TT600 but with better suspension. The biggest downfall with the bike that we've found is that it's an absolute pig to start whether cold or hot unless you know the drill. If you chuck it away you can bet that it'll take 15 minutes to get going again. They might not all be like that but this particular bike has always been a cranky son of a bitch. The owner has a 450 EXC electric start these days but keeps the 600 for sentimental reasons and may race it in VMX and Vinduros down the line.

Are they a KTM engine or a sourced one?
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

I wouldn't of thought it was worth a penny more Pete, being an enduro bike and not quite making the cut off for most aus vinduro events it kinda becomes a bit of a bastard bike as do many other (great) 85-90 bikes around these days. This seems to lessen the interest and therefore value in this country at the moment, I'd be heading out there with $1200 in my pocket, that and a bit of smooth talkin will get you 6 outta 10 bikes advertised at 2k these days.
THE SEXMAX.....coming soon to an Evo race near you!!! Lining up right along side the soon to be released TEDMAX!!!
