The GPIII came standard with the brake backing plate on the RH side.. and yes it appears to be the original GPIII front hub.

The GP3,s I know of are all USA imports
Real Aussie Ossa GP3 where their any Ossa dealers down under in 1978
Good Question think the Japs had the market by then
