85 KX250 Clutch Question
« on: March 12, 2013, 09:31:15 pm »
Is the pressure plate supposed to be flat for the whole 15-20mm width where the first friction plate runs? Mine looks to be worn, having a slight step down about 10mm wide where the fibre plate runs on it.

My common sense says it's worn by looking at it, but I have nothing to compare it to. I have tried to look at ones on Ebay to try and get some idea, but some pics aren't to clear or i'm looking at one as worn as mine maybe?

Bike is in pieces being rebuilt and I didn't ride it before, so don't know the condition of it beforhand. It has new fibre's and springs now, so if I need a new pressure plate i'll do it now too.

Can anyone show me a clear pic of what the surface should like?

Cheers
Adam
