Have just filled my 87 Husky 510 with magnesium alloy barrel using Liquid Intelligence 115 waterless coolant. It is claimed to be suitable for magnesium and also has a higher heat absorption capacity per degree temperature rise so makes the bike run cooler and harder to boil. I am hoping it will stop the magnesium from corroding any further than it has already.
It is very pricey at $50 per liter delivered to your doorstep. Unfortunately I needed to buy 2 liters
as the Husky uses slightly more than 1 liter. I am wondering if my intelligence was liquidated
Has anyone used this stuff in magnesium motors and have you any comments on either engine temp or corrosion? According to their website Ballard uses it in team bikes and lots of testimonials from others.
Sounds too good to be true but thought I'd give it a try as draining the bike after every ride is a PITA when using the regular Repco stuff.
