Yeah not real happy Mick. All my riding buddies told me I needed to get a new bike. Get rid of the KTonda and buy something new they said, more reliable they said (although what could be more reliable than an XR200?) I was always wary of water cooled motors and their exposed radiators. The Freeride has the narrowest, most tucked in radiator I’ve seen apart from a trials bike but I managed to ding it!
The radiator was hit on the lower tank and pushed sideways, just enough to bend the front face of the lower tank where the mounts are welded on. There is a weep on the tank to core seam but the coolant level does not drop. Trouble is I know it won’t get better.
Lozza, being my usual luck the Freeride has a different radiator to all other KTM’s, thanks for trying. No after-market yet, $450 genuine. Other news, back to working on the TM this week! Five other bikes sold so more time and space.
