Just recieved the latest edition of Scaysies wonderfull mag, Old Bike Australasia.
As usual it's choc full of great articles including one on Ray Curtis, what an all around rider he was, still punching I should add because he had a ride at Nepean just last year, aged 79.9.
The biggy for me is a photo of Ray with my father, Norm, who sponsored Ray for a while, dad regarded Ray as close to the best rider he ever sponsored, and there were a few goodun's.
Sobering to hear his opinion of the Syd Showground, sadly the last person killed at the old Royal was his brother Geoff, that was very nearly me only 4 years later and Geoff always told us to never ride there.
Anyway, my old man, Curly, gets a geurnsey.
