dt fork tubes and mx tubes

Hi gents after playing with yamahas for years the gray matter has gone mushie . question is there any difference between the tubes on the early dt's and the 73/74 mx's . Iain

the tubes themselves?
the only real difference i've seen with the 34mm tubes is length.
some have the thread for the cap further down inside the tube than others but thats about all i've really noticed difference wise.
