My 87 510 tank split like a watermelon on the second test ride up the street
Not happy Jan! I wondered why my leg felt wet! Quite scary. Managed to stop it and drain the fuel before setting fire to it
Guess it happens from time to time. It's the first Acerbis tank I have had split on me so far - 3 out of 4 have been OK.
If anyone can assist in sourcing a replacement it would be much appreciated.
BTW what is the concencus opinion on why it happens and can anything be done to prevent it?
