Maybe I've missed some reasoning in all of this but those modern interpretations of "pre 65" Bantams, James and Villiers have no relationship with proper vintage competition. I'm presuming that they're doing the same mods to these bikes as the Poms, as seen in Classic Dirt Bike magazine. If that's true, the classic/twin shock trials community has lost its way.
The BSA Bantam shown below has bares no resemblence to anything that competed in the day.
