My brother-in-law has an 18" on his WR250 and a 19" on his YZ250, he thinks they work ok, they wear a little quicker than a name brand.

They are a very stiff carcass, the 19" (low profile) was a prick to fit.

Ok...I have found just about all 19's are difficult to fit.... even more so the retread versions...f$%k I had some on my 610 whilst I was up in Derby... not only was it nearly 100% humidity when I chose to fit them...the sidewall was so hard.. I just about broke a tyre lever putting em on.. >:(

Yeah, but do they work Brian?
I'm well past the tyre fitting stage of my life. These days I'd rather spend 10 bucks on getting 'em changed by machine at the local bike shop. Having said that, I did recently fit the Vee Rubber trials front tyre to my trials bike.....a piece of piss but it was a softy.......
Back on subject, I'm curious as to what Savage tyres are like too.

;D ;D I'm up here now (Derby), the only place in the world where I've had sweat dripping of the end of my nose and elbows at the same time....all at 6 am.

Hi all,

I received an email from Ben Handayside of Savage MX. He says:

"I noticed some members on your forum were discussing the Savage brand of tyres and their performance. I would like to give any OZVMX members who are interested in the tyres and other products an exclusive 20% discount if they wish to trial them. I would be willing to do a special deal for your forum members on all my products.

If you would like to please pass on this email to the people involved with the above thread.

So, anyone interested in giving the Savage MX tyres a shot, this looks like a perfect opportunity!
