DONT Buy RIMS from this bloke
« on: November 02, 2012, 11:35:16 am »
Saw on ebay 18 x 250 brand new rims 80.00 and 25.00 delivery, when arrived Rim was scratched to the shithouse and delivery was 12.00, now his add said nothing about scratches on the rims. Sent it back and I get reply that Rims in stock are scratched ??? ??? and that he will have to order new one from supplier, been three weeks now

At least now he has changed add to say they are scratches F**K would have helped before ::)

They are pretty solid rims, I just couldn't use one with scratches for my RM500 resto, front rim is in good cond but came with no rear. Pickup a hub off a fellow forum member so instead of getting an Excell and front and rear looking different I went this route. If you dont mind the marks they're alright, just check the postage from Vic to SA would be cheaper freaky I would think. I just was pissed off that he didnt say they were marked before I bought, selling damaged goods he should off said so.

I was looking at these rims thinking they maybe OK to put on a static resto, probably not strong enough for a rider, but then I zoomed in on the red writing it says US RACING BOY,I thought no worries that would probably come off with paint stripper, then I realised RACING BOY is also stamped into the rim,no thanks :D

If you look closely at the photos in that listing you can make out that the rims are stamped DID Japan around from the red writing. Don't know whether they really are though

One look at the ad  & the price should be  fair warning.
What  else  would  you expect for $80  ???

Regards ,

I would expect that they would (not) be covered with scratches unless the add said they might. the quality well that a different thing.
