How do they do it? eBay spam!
« on: September 06, 2012, 07:37:33 pm »
How do they post those hundreds of adds for brake pads or bearings etc that take up pages and pages of eBay and annoy the crap out of you when browsing you favourite brand of bike  >:( >:( Is there some special software they use and how do you filter that spam out?

They include every make and model of bike in the description in white writing so it can't be seen by it still gets found when you check the "include title and description" box when you search that particular bike.

Found this out the other day...

KX250 for example without all the KX250F's .. search for;

KX250 -KX250F

Looking for Maicos and not all the brake pads ... Maico -pad or another key word used in the annoying sprockets, grips etc

 :)

Problem with that is that is also filters out the very best model of KX250 - the 1988 KX250F...  :-\ ...  ;D
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

you need to find one keyword they place in all their ads and then type it in your search with the minus symbol in front of it.
this will then exclude all ads with the word sprocket in the title.

example i always get a million sprocket kits show up so i generally search for something like
1976 yz -sprocket
