Hello lads (and ladies)

I'm on the lookout for one of these tanks to go on a B33 dirt tracker project of mine, the tank does not have to be perfect, in fact I'd probably rather salvage a damaged one off someone if possible.

I'm located in Melbourne. Best way to contact me is on 0437 9525 87 after 6pm week nights or any time on weekends, if you'd prefer to email please PM me.

regards,
Nick

I bought my straight as a dye B44 tank for $100 on eBay a year or so ago. Yes...I was lucky. :D
Have you considered a fibreglass replica? I bought one for $30 and had it ethanol coated and it looks cool.

Here's a B50T tank that's close but not exactly what you want

Here's a proper Lyta BSA B44 tank that appears to have has a fight with a ball peen hammer.

Here's a 'glass universal tank that might look OK. It's cheap enough.

I'm still studying so the budget doesn't stretch far enough to permit a new tank, as I said ideally something a bit beat up would be ideal as it'll have to have some slight modifications to fit anyhow, i do have an old A65 Hornet fibreglass tank but it just doesn't sit right on the frame, they're too long in the bottom, the Victor tank has a similar shape but is a bit shorter so should look much neater. I'll keep my eye on eBay, i have seen quite a few in the US but shipping is usually around $70 for something as big as a tank. nick  :P

I thought the same Jim but in what must have been a freak week I got a genuine B44 alloy tank with only one or two little dings for $100us and a B50T tank with zero dings for $120. Both tanks cost around $60 to ship. You have to know what you're looking for and be 'Johnny on the spot' when they come up.
