Cr480 83 heavy duty shock spring
« on: July 14, 2012, 10:30:08 am »
I would normally just buy a new one aftermarket but times are tough so thought I'd ask the question. They came with one in the spares kit but I don't know how the colour codes went for them. Even if you know the colour code to look for on the spring would be a help, then I know what I'm looking for.

Brad if you can work out the colours I might be able to help you with one for free.  I have a few shock springs in my shed that I got when I purchased a couple of CR480s a few years ago.  When I sold the bikes I inadvertantly kept the spare springs.  I think one is purple or blue and one is white.  From memory only as I haven't laid eyes on them for years but I know where they are stashed.

Cheers
Craig

Don't know how reliable the Honda parts book is, but Green = 5.6, Blue = 6.0 and Black = 6.4

I know you are looking for the cheapest solution, but if you're close to 90Kg you probably need a 6.7 spring.  The Eibach number is 883-0067-1
