Finding alternative parts
« on: March 29, 2013, 09:02:58 am »
Looking for places to get parts when my local Yamaha shop can't help. Recently purchased a 83 YZ250 with the intentions or racing this year.

So far been able to get parts from eBay, Yamaha shop and Ballarat Motorcycle Land, VMX Unlimited have been helpful.

I'm now looking for a throttle spring that sits inside the Carby. Yamaha can't get them, eBay doesn't have any listed.

Where are you getting those hard to find parts?

Cheers
Craig

Given it's just a spring for a carb surely you could scrounge one from a wreckers? Or call Hatricks in Townsville?

Even your local metal shop or hardware store will stock a range of springs where you may be able to find one to adapt.
