hi James forget about the little 5.5 thumpers and go for a kt100cc proper 2t yamaha kart engine,if you do ive got a new oil bath clutch for one of those.

Ive had 3 odesseys and loved them but have a sidewinder project so have the buggy side covered. The 4 stroke karts are just for fun and run all day on one tank of fuel which is the main reason Im drawn to them.I ran 2 stroke kart competively on the dirt and bituman for many years and cant be bothered with the rebuilds expence etc now.The Hondas go better than you may think with governers removed,a uni filter and a free flowing exhaust. One of my nephews is only 10 so the 5.5s are plenty quick enough. The Chinese copies are only $150 delivered so if I have a blow up there will be no tears.Do you have a kart Matt?If so you should bring it for a run when you pick up the big DR or you can run one of mine..I just set up some irrigation to water the track today to keep the dust down and for some drift action ;D

We have a clown that's dropped an old cart off to us to make an exhaust manifold etc... it has a 600/4 Honda Blackbird motor!! The gearing will end up being 14 on the front to a 16 on the axle-good for 10000klm/hr!!!

hi James
i did have ia kart 10yrs ago and had alot of fun in it but the local club died out for a while so i sold it,i liked being on the local car speedway track the best dispite the holes the 'car moles' had left us to race on after their races.just like long tracking but on 4 wheels
