I've seen a few articles about Honda and Yamaha racing 1978 "production" bikes, in the Winter series and Super Cross. The articles gave tips on how to set your CR or YZ up like the ones raced by Marty Tripes or Bob Hannah. Has anyone used these tips to race their '78 MXers?
I wonder why Suzuki and Kawasaki didn't follow suit in '78? Even though it was pretty much a marketing ploy, Honda and Yamaha did win a lot of races in '78, on those "stockers".
