Plastics as always are the big ticket stuff other than than fastidiously maintain the KIPS mechanism if it has one.

i have a set of standard rings for one and im sure i have a set of nos side number plates and a good front and rear guardi check if there still there but i know the rings are came accross the in the xr75 stuff  ???

thanks guys and caps999 that would be good she needs new plastic havent pulled down the motor yet but, it dose have gear box problems that im yet to investigate .
I beleve that the 88 model and the 89 shair same motor the 89 having upside down forks

They were supposed to be the best 125 in '88. One of the few Kawasakis I'd be happy to own.

I know this doesn't add a real lot of value to the thread, but the local bike shop guy services one, and more than once, he's complained about difficulties in finding parts - even basic stuff like air-filter elements...

well   the bits to fix is geting bigger as it always is with free bikes just got motor out swingarm bolt rusted in good had to cut through in three places but its done ,all the links are f----d ,swingarms bearings  and the steel brackets , so the question is offload it for parts or continue lol ;D

just found crack in the barrel next to power valve is this a common problem with this model

powervavle failure from non servicing and cylinder plating failure were common from memory in 86-88 years

DON'T GIVE UP !!!! just when things look bleak and every bolt you undo reveals one more thing that needs fixing you find something good, whether its a bargain part from ebay or a lucky find at the wreckers. Give yourself the appropriate amount of time for every part or detail you want to achieve, I bought a 1981 YZ465 stripped it down to restore for racing and it took over a year to get it to this state
