 Kill switches working or not are they a GCR requirement ? 

if so where is it in the MOMs ( i can only find it for Sidecar + lanyards- cheers

Really Freaky your not serious this time !!!! Look just don't have one and see what happens at your next inspection.
Hey what I want to know is why you would not want one? or are you just trying to pick more faults with the regulation book? That is not going to help ,we should be offering to assist in getting the possible bugs out of it, as shown by your impressive letter to the powers that be about noise control.   Sorry If I have missed the joke ..Cheers Tim

NA i was serious.  I was out on a bike on the weekend and noticed it had no kill switch, it shut off from a comp lever.  worked fine.  that got me to thinking and then i just checked and i couldnt find any referance to it ?  im not being a smart arse but having lost races due to faulty kill switches before now i thought that  was interesting if you had the choice on what you ran to shut it off. 

so i am guessing by your response tim that you dont need a working kll switch to get through scitineering or if you have one fitted it must be working ?

No I cannot tell you positively the answer to your question as I have always had an operational kill switch on track machines. It is called common sense I believe, if you go out with something to make sparks ,you will need something to stop said sparks.  ;)

im hearing ya.   I also noticed last year more than one guy on xl or cb 4 strokes with the batteries flicking switches under the seat i always though it was a strange plass for isolating the battery, now i thinking it was the kill point.

mmm interesting. I like the lanyard concept but the comp got me intersted too.

To kill switch or not? Interesting call Freaky; I imagine we all expect a kill switch to be compulsory.
Does the rule book say a helmet must be done up and firmly secured or do we just accept it should be?

On the kill switch thing I once saw a big bore KTM (400?) on it's side and screaming at full noise with a stuck throttle.
The bike was pivoting on the handlebar - as in the rear tyre was touching the ground and the bike was circling/rotating as it lay on its side.
The kill switch was close to the ground and couldn't be grabbed; the rider had to leap over the rotating bike to grab at the plug lead.
He jumped the rotating bike maybe three times, timing it to get inside 'the circle' to get a hold of the plug lead.

He grabbed it eventually and got the expected huge belt of volts through his hand... f*ck I laughed :D ;D :D!!
