Fox shocks
« on: February 29, 2012, 08:51:19 pm »
I ran into a guy tonight that has 2x sets of fox shock and a set of works performance shocks he has had for many years. He's is considering selling them! They looked pretty trick! He said he was originally going to use them on a 78 cr250 rebuild he never got around to doing! He knows they are very sought after and won't be giving them away. He didn't mention how much though. What do you think they will be worth??oh and he also has 79 and a78 cr250. All original not running but complete.

I recently sold a pair of Fox Air Shox for the Honda CR250. If they are in good condition, in good working order with no marks on the shafts, anything up to $800 is in the market, under $700 you are doing well.

What does he want for the Works Performance shocks?

They are Honda cr250's. a 78 and a 79 model. The 79 model was complete and he has nevr tried to start so engine condition etc unknow.Totally unrestored but ALL original .The 78 model from had one shock missing no exhaust or rear guard. Engine condition unknown. He also had a brand new DG pipe.

The fox shocks are to suit the honda's so I assume 17 3/4's. He also had a pair of Luff shocks which he said are fox replica's??
The fox shocks are air shocks.( piggy back )

He isnt my mate .I went to his house for business and saw them.I asked etc and he said he was considering selling etc. He will let me know when he know what he wants etc.I will pass on when he lets me know.

Are these Cr's a bit rare? Im not a Honda man and unsure.

Kev, Have you had one of these? I had one back in the day and it was by far my all time favourite Motocrosser. Jumped on one 32 years later and it was just as I remember it. Such a great bike. Best thing about it, predictable handling. Love it!
