I'm as old as my gums and a little older than my teeth

MCMLVII was the year I was born  and Chevrolet released a classic ;)
My first bike was procured at the age of 16 and was a Yamaha dt250 which was my transport to work along with the weekend warrior in 1974 I obtained a Drivers Competition License and was a member of the Onehunga United Motorcycle club MX #90 (NZ). At this stage I was more financial and bought a Kawasaki KX 250 and tried to tame this thing for three years and was unsuccessful, one weekend a mate of mine entered an enduro event and needed a partner to enter yep no problems, this would lead to a sponsored bike and many years of great riding ( Suzuki PE 175 )
1981 was when the wife and I left the shakey Island to make a career In OZ
Bikes since then have been MT 125-KlX 250 - XR 200 for bush bashing
Then it was in 2005 I walked into the news agent to buy the morning paper and spotted this Mag called VMX issue 24
read the thing about a dozen times and bugger all work got done that day. :)
Since then my garage is slowly filling up with bikes of old and not one complaint from the old girl  ;D ;)

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
