Put's a bad taste in my mouth the lack of support our club's get from both council and our governing body, is there anybody in there with kid's or that ride or ride themselfve's?????

It's like everything else, they're so far removed from the general population that unless they're affected personally nothing get's done. It's why the public health system, public education etc is run on fumes. The pollies kids don't ride dirt bikes, don't go to state schools, and don't use the public health system.

Unfortunatly as these areas populate and complaints roll in any motor sport park will suffer.I rode stanmore as a kid,it was allways open and we rocked up when we liked, then people bought near the park and would have known about the noise etc and then they kick up a stink.Anything that makes noise seems to get people going.both venues have been developed all around them and the millions generated from this will overide a non profit MX club.I live in the bush just 3 KMs from an MX park and all the locals are complaining. The noice doesnt bother me one bit and isnt everyday anyway.I dont think Im very popular as I ride allmost everyday.I guess my point is that no matter where a park opens locals will make it hard due to the noise. Its hard to compare motor sport to ball, batt sports as they arnt making engine noises etc. Please dont get me wrong,Im not at all happy about the closures, just not supprised.I find it hard to believe that the governing body isnt doing more.Poeple pay through the nose and there doent seem to be too much backing. Its a very sad thing and councils really cant get away with it without offering an alternative venue for the members.
