It was built a few years ago by an eccentric old Maico guy named Jim McCabe ...."because he could". I seem to remember talk of the engine being built for use in some Bonneville salt racer project that never eventuated.
Jim's a legend in oval/square barrel Maico circles, nobody knows 'em like old Jim does
