Making things look like they're sand cast - how to?
« on: March 19, 2008, 10:44:14 pm »
If I had a die-cast aluminium component, and wanted to make it look like it was rough sandcast, what would I do?

I've been wondering about either crinkle finish paint or maybe some form of heavy sand blasting?

Obviously I'm not expecting it to be indistunguishable from a true sand cast item, but the closer the better. Item will be painted (black), FWIW.

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
