Queensland Solo Title
« on: November 27, 2011, 07:54:36 pm »
Good night racing last night at Nudgee, although the slowness of how riders are allowed to get to the tapes pisses me off. Couple of big rain showers that would have changed the track conditions hugely.Damien Koppe won the semi final (after a pretty average night) and started in the main final. nearly had it, when he got wide and slidey in turn 4 , lucky to stay on, but dropped to 4th and allowed Josh Grojczonek to take maximum points for the  night and win the title. He had 5 from 5 so deserved the result in the final. Young guns from UK acquitted themselves well. Max Fricke won both the 125 title and 350 feature of the night and looked very smooth.

Scott Smith took a hard one in turn 4 in round 4, with the bike landing on top of him. I would be grateful if anyone knows how he is.

Venue realy needs permanent lights, the hire ones being spun around from juniors to seniors certainly didn't add to the night, but well done to the Brisbane Junoir Motorcycle Club for running the night. Without them Spedway/dirt-track would be dead in Bris Vegas. Hope it provides a boost for speedway in banana land.
