are sidecars dying - is this somthing my club should know about ?

As we are getting numbers and planning now for our clubs 3 rounds we are hosting for the Dt state titles is this somthing we should be under standing ? or are all you side car guys just loopy ?

In the past we have some great old fella's riding track and we hoped to get more on our days to make decent field this year, perhaps get decent numbers in the pre 80 classes you cant call 2 bikes in 2 classes a specticle.  I would hate for us to drop the sidecars cause there is still such low numbers or is it just lack of interest ?

i 'd hate to vote on cutting the class if its only some 'us and them mentallity' in the vic states, i know nothing of this stuff as its before my time , but if im voting on somthing id like to know what im voting for, id like to retain the side cars in the DT rounds as i think they bring somthing big to the sport and to the spectators, but for 2 bikes the class is a waste of time.



sorry im a bit lost here ,   i just wanna know should we expect sidecars this year or is the class rooted in DT ?

not being into sidecar cirlces  ultimately all i want to know is will we get the numbers in the classes this year if we keep putting sidecars in the programme or are you chaps on self distruct ?  will U only ride certain santioned events ?

i have been reading up and asking for feedback so i can be more informed on what im talking about when it comes to the discussions for committee meetings, but im lstill Lost.  i even went back on the forums here to understand the issues but most of it was deleted and had bits missing ?

If we run the classes will they come or should we just cut you 3 wheelers loose and do our own solo thing ? it would be a shame as i think the sport needs both at the same event other wise its like potatos without gravy, one is bland without the other and we need gates $$ to keep the club going and our sponsors interested.

Are we alone here or whats the go interstate i need to feel a pulse on where this is going ?  I only have so many eggs.....

Well we currently have modern solo and pre 75 solo's at our DT rounds, we have both pre75 and modern sidecars, but the numbers are on the slide, we need to now if its worth putting both in this years series or is it dead ? i want them both out on the day but in seperate classes, we would like more competing but it seems lame to have them in the same race it looks stupid. but to keep em in seperate gate falls we need numbers.  Mu gut feels is if we have to combine them into one race we may as well not bother, its not even a class if you only have 2 outfits per class.  sad but how do we make the decition to cut or to build the outfits events, i dont wanrt to vote to keep them in the program if they wont come out, makes us look stupid as a club if we cant get a field , and the solos spew cause they get rushed to get in the track time.  Do we persue the pre 75 outfits or cut them loose in 08 ? if they dont show this year they wont get back on the program again, so im louthed to say cut em, id hate for us to loose the oppertunity to see these units in action, but where are they going and whats with the cant be Fuc thng over the associations crossing over ? a rides a ride i dont get it why cant we get numbers ?

I lreally love the old stuff, i creamed my pants at the gold trophy series in adelide last year, but how do you get them out ?  do you have vintage solos at the same meet ? or is it sidecars only.  we want both a bikes a bike. and th eolder the better 2 0r 3 wheel, but they seem to be getting less interested.   Geeze  ID even stick a chair on a DT360 if i thought i could get someone to ride against me, but im thinking its a dead horse. 

what the secret over there, how do you get them to come out and play ?

the newest members r first timer's and the other is from the 70s & 80's road racing.
no idea how or why.Maybe it's the city grape vine.

well the bar is open all day and $1 sausages and we get i thnk last round nevile lushon his 750 triple and then the wasp guys on that whit thing and  well ummmm im scratching my head.  ONe more of you wont really save the class walter, its needs dare i say "it more than one borat to put kazikstan on the map"
