Steel Framed WR-F 250/400/426 Question
« on: September 24, 2011, 04:12:38 pm »
Any one on here got one of these bikes? Up to 2003 all run the same stand AFAIK. What I need is the dimensions of the original Yamaha side stand. I need the overall length from the pad at the bottom to the pivot bolt centreline, the length from the pin on the stand that the spring hooks to, to the pivot bolt centreline, and the thickness of the bracket that the U shape goes over with the pivot bolt through it.
I'm looking at trying to adapt a WR-F stand to another bike, but have no dimensions to see if it will be even close. It "looks" like it may work, but would like to know for sure before I go and buy one. Only interested in the original stock Yamaha stand, not aftermarket or modified versions. I asked this on DBW forum but no-one seems to want to get the tape out quickly :-\

Cheers' for any help guys,
Adam
