Montesa Part Suppliers?
« on: August 27, 2011, 09:30:11 am »
I have just stipped down the 1979(?) 247 Cota that I resently obtained, and have had to use a hacksaw to cut the through the seized swingarm pivot bolt and use a lot of heat to get all the bushings etc out of the swingarm. Is there a supplier here in Aust that can provide swingarm bushes etc for a Cota? Or can someone suggest a reliable overseas source?

Thanks,
CJ
Why do things the easy way, when with a bit of effort you can really make it difficult for yourself!!

Talk to Cappra on here AKA Jarard Bates, Sowthwest Montesa or John at Rocky mountain Montesa both in the US. Both good to deal with and very knowledgeable. Montesa parts are few and far between in Australia. You can get parts from Spain (Solo Montesa) is one, but you pay an and and leg for parts.

In motion trials in the UK is my third point of call for Cota parts if Jarred or John can not help.
