hi all anyone know what these bikes are like any known probs.ive just bought one any info will be much appreciated i will post pics of it up later tonight or tomorrow.also anyone know if it's legal for pre 90 class.thanx in advance gary

Certainly not pre 90 legal and being a 98 model i thought that would have been obvious. Only Pre 90 legal one would the first 1989 model RMX

Good bike but..... The power valve is the weak link check for cracks and keep it clean or it will break off and eat the piston!! Also the carb is a POS Keihin PJ 38 I run a PWK 38 in mine its a common conversion heaps of info around on set up and the only other drama is that this model (the Aus 96 to 00 model) never came out in the US making cheap parts harder to find.

Even better     the power valve is a simpler two stage two peice design and the carbs a better 38mm TMX watch for frame rot mines got a little and the parts bike I bought was rotten.
