« on: August 09, 2011, 09:52:28 pm »
Can anyone tell me the Standard weight and level of fork oil for 1982 YZ125 forks. I had a little mishap last night and um,  bent  :-\ the 81 YZ125 forks I have on my IT400. I have a set for an 82 but they need to be rebuilt.

Cheers Chris

According to the workshop manual, SAE#10 motor oil , quantity is 415cm3 or oil level of 150mm. Although , if you live in Europe it is 454cm3 and 200mm level.
I use 15 weight at 150 .
Restoring YZ 50,60, 80, 100 and 125. Racing a 490 and a 250. Have a complete collection of J,s.
